James has worked in Health and Fire Safety for over 18 years and has always specialised in Event Risk Management. He has provided Health and Fire Safety Services to large Clients at events such as; Hard Rock Calling, Wireless Festival, Download Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Creamfields and Global Gathering. He is the Safety Director for the Great Dorset Steam Fair which, at peak occupancy, becomes the third largest Town (by density) in the County.
Previously James was responsible for Health and Fire Safety at a National Construction Company, providing risk management solutions during the construction and refurbishment of some 600 High Street shops across the United Kingdom. This included producing the Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work for construction activities at premises ranging from Stores in well-known Shopping Centres to Concessions at Heathrow and Birmingham Airport.
He is a full Member of The Institution of Fire Engineers, a full Member of The International Institute of Risk & Safety Management, a Technical Member of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and maintains his Continuing Professional Development accordingly. He has experience of Fire Safety, Operational Fire-Fighting and Incident Command at Tactical Level.
